Let the creative juices flow at National Drawing Day in Kilkenny

National Drawing Day takes place on May 20

National Drawing Day is a national celebration of all things mark-making, with workshops and events happening across Ireland.

At Butler Gallery in Kilkenny, this is a free drop-in family friendly event with activities for all ages and artistic abilities. A nominal fee applies to Crash Bang and Wallop workshops. Check booking information.

Enjoy experimenting with various art techniques to create your own fun art works on the day, guided by our talented artists.

From observational drawing skills to 3-D puppet and shadow drawings, to a large collaborative chalk pavement drawing and eco-focused workshops using natural materials, we will also host drawing with our bodies and sound through Samba drumming workshops in our gardens and public realm spaces.
