The annual George Brown Commemoration will be held in Inistioge on Saturday, June 24.
Besides the events in Woodstock Gardens, talks will take place in St Mary's Church of Ireland in the village. The two speakers this year are Fr Peter McVerry who will deal with efforts to address the problems of those on the margins with particular reference to homelessness and drug addiction, and Larry Scallan (Commandant Retired) who will give an illustrated talk on Inistioge and the Great War.
