Today (Friday) will start off dry with hazy sunny spells in Kilkenny, but cloud and showery rain will gradually move up over from the southwest through the rest of the day.
The rain will be heavy at times and isolated thunderstorms are possible.
Highest temperatures of 18 to 24 degrees, warmest in north Leinster, with a light to moderate south to southeast wind, occasionally freshening around showers.
Mostly cloudy tonight with scattered showers continuing, heavy at times.
Some mist and fog patches developing too in light to moderate south to southeast winds.
Mild with temperatures not falling below 13 to 16 degrees.
