Kells Kings 2023 will take place on Saturday, August 19 starting from the beautiful Kilkenny village of Kells.
This year cyclists can choose from a variety of routes with distances of 116km, 85km or 30km.
Preparations are under way in the village for the 2023 charity cycle. The various routes pass through Inistioge, Windgap, Dunamaggin, Piltown, Mullinavat, Graignamanagh, Thomastown, Carrickshock and Tullogher.
Funds raised will go to the Cois Nore Cancer Support Centre to provide supports for people living with a cancer diagnosis and their families. Cois Nore depends on the goodwill of local communities around Kilkenny to ensure that their services can continue to be provided free of charge to the people of Kilkenny.
The Cois Nore mission is to provide free confidential support and both professional and voluntary services to people of all ages affected by cancer and their families to enable them to live well with their diagnosis.
“The Kells Kings Charity Cycle has always been an incredibly important fundraising event for Cois Nore as well as a brilliant day out,” said Bill Cuddihy, Chairperson of Cois Nore.
“I am sure that cyclists everywhere will be looking forward to participating. It’s events like these that help us to continue providing much needed services to those affected by cancer in our community.”
