The 2023 Dunnamaggin Charity Gymkhana takes place on Sunday 20 August 2023, at Goodwins Gardens, Kells The charity gymkhana is in aid of Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare Team and St Joseph’s Home, Kilmoganny, County Kilkenny. In 2022, a grand total of €10,000 was divided between our chosen charities.

The Committee of the Dunnamaggin Gymkhana are very grateful for the support of their local sponsors every year and for the opportunity to raise funds for such wonderful causes. With fantastic Raffle Prizes, Stallion Nomination Auctions, and a Training Bursary Auction for a young rider with local rider Mikey Pender (who represented Ireland in the Longines FEI Nations Cup at the RDS Dublin Horse Show last Friday), there is something for everyone.

Some 2022 Winners:

Saoirse O’Neill, Carnhill Rascal; won the 138 1m Rory & Eileen O’Gorman Perpetual Trophy (Saoirse was 2nd & 3rd at the Dublin Horse Show last week with Carnhill Rascal & Carnhill Rodge).
H Saoirse's dad, Michael O'Neill, won the Amateur Kitty McCreery Perpetual Trophy with ‘Take a Gamble’.

2022 Winner Conor Roche 

Conor Roche won the 148 1.10 Michael Costello Perpetual Trophy (pictured above been presented with the trophy by Michael’s granddaughter Gillian).

2022 winner Tom O’Shea

Tom O’Shea won the 1.10 Agnes Gibbons White Perpetual Trophy with ‘Congress Flush’ (pictured above).

Class times and ebtry fees are all on SJI Live www.sjilive.ie. First class is at 9am.
