Sextet Alchemy Vox in concert at Butler Gallery in Kilkenny

Alchemy Vox

Powerful sextet Alchemy Vox will perform at a Late Night Opening at the Butler Gallery on later this month.

The all-female vocal six-piece featuring well known singers from Kilkenny and Dublin will perform their concert Go Your Own Way on.

Eclectic in both personality and repertoire, Alchemy Vox is a six-piece female vocal group. Equally at home as soloists or creating their magic together Alchemy will captivate you with their diverse catalogue of material, from Bowie to The Beatles, and Irish favourites to Fleetwood Mac - all in the unique Alchemy style.

Under the direction of Christine Scarry, this powerful sextet has been performing to sold-out audiences for the last four years at venues like The Sugar Club, The Grand Social, Trinity College, The Set, John Cleere’s Theatre, St Canice’s Cathedral, Medieval Mile Museum, and, most recently, Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre, captivating audiences with their unique mix of mesmerising harmonies and solo performances.

Their repertoire reflects an exciting kaleidoscope of genres, featuring songs from Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, Alicia Keys, Annie Lennox, and Guns N Roses, as well as more traditional Irish fare.

The group also performed as special guests at the Dublin Bowie Festival in 2019 and the Women’s Vótáil 100 celebrations at Dublin Castle.

The concert will take place at 7.30pm under the marquee in our medieval walled garden.

The gallery will also be open for the audience to explore the permanent collection and latest exhibition, The Art of Sport in our Main Gallery along with a film programme curated by Irish Film Institute in our Digital Gallery, ‘Local Films for Local People - Spectating Sport’.

Proceeds will support Butler Gallery, supporting living artists and all audiences.

Tickets are €20 and available from butlergallery.ie
