One door closes and another opens for Kilkenny sports star

After six years as club captain of Graignamanagh Rowing Club, Andrew Hennessy has made the decision to step down at the annual meeting.

He will now be the newly appointed equipment officer and remain a dedicated coach to the juniors as well as working with Rowing Ireland in bringing the 'Get Going, Get Rowing' initiative to some of the local schools.

The club acknowledged all the hard work and commitment Andrew has given and continues to give.

He has often said in conversation that the most important thing is 'that the juniors are enjoying themselves and having fun rowing'. 

After the success of last year’s dinner dance the rowing club are busy organising another night to remember. All are welcome to attend, including adult members, parents and friends of the club.
