The Irish Wheelchair Association in Kilkenny open major exhibition

The Rehabilitation Training Unit from the Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) Kilkenny had the opening of their exhibition in association with Community Education Kilkenny, on Monday, November 27.

The exhibition titled 'Recollections… and Kilkenny Wall Art' runs until Wednesday, December 6 in Langton's, Cillín Hill and the work on display consists of individual pieces from students in the Rehabilitation & Training Unit of the association.

Monday's launch was an emotional day for all involved as a special presentation to the parents of Jason Kavanagh took place. Jason passed away suddenly last October and was an 'integral' part of the group.

It's been a busy year for students preparing for the event with the support of Siobhan O Brien and Teresa Comerford in Community Education Kilkenny, Tutor, Mairead Holohan and all the staff in IWA, Purcellsinch, Kilkenny.
