SOS Kilkenny has launched the 'Access Academy', a skills development programme for young adults with an intellectual disability, designed to give students the skills, knowledge and experience to choose a career and find paid employment in Kilkenny.
Students will complete a pre-employment course, develop and hone practical skills relevant to their chosen field and learn transferrable skills for the workplace.
The Access Academy will open in September 2024 and they are hosting an information session about the Access Academy on Tuesday, December 5 from 4pm to 6pm in The Junction on the Castlecomer Road.
