Kilkenny Castle
Kilkenny Castle are hosting a number of free tours this February which will cater for members of the local community with an additional needs.
On Monday, February 5, a sensory friendly tour will take place as those with additional needs and their families have the opportunity to explore Victorian period rooms in a quiet environment.
On Sunday, February 11, a child friendly guided tour of Kilkenny Castle will give families a chance to view the castle's beautiful period rooms in a relaxed environment. This guided tour is aimed at school going aged children and their families.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, February 14, a free tour aimed at people living with alzheimers and dementia along with their families will be accommodated.
This tour offers attendees an opportunity to explore the period rooms and chat about the artworks and history of the castle in a friendly setting.
