The 300-year-old brewery site is thrilled to be included in the Visit Kilkenny ‘Kilkenny Gifts You’ campaign

Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny is one of a number of key attractions in the city and county taking part in a new ‘Kilkenny Gifts You’ promotion to boost visitor footfall and revenue throughout the traditionally quieter months of January and February.

The 300-year-old brewery site is thrilled to be included in the Visit Kilkenny ‘Kilkenny Gifts You’ campaign for the coming weeks. The promotional offer showcases Kilkenny’s Restaurants, Hotels and Attractions during the winter months and offers visitors a discount reward, Manager of Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny, Ignacio Peregrina, said.

“We’re delighted to support this great Visit Kilkenny campaign and to play our part in boosting tourism revenue and footfall throughout the quieter weeks ahead. This campaign will run right up until the end of February.

“When customers go to our website https://www.smithwicksexperience.com and enter the KilkennyGiftsU promocode, they will automatically get a 20% discount on the popular Smithwick’s Experience Tour. We’re confident it will help boost business throughout the city and commend Kilkenny Tourism on their initiative.”

Last year was a busy year for Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny and the addition of their recently-launched Masters of Ale tours on Saturday evenings from 5.20pm is set to further boost visitor numbers. It is the final tour on Saturday evenings and a must for those with an interest in ale, beer and brewing as well as the perfect starting point for those who want to venture further and enjoy a great evening in the many surrounding restaurants, hotels and bars in the heart of medieval Kilkenny city.

Team members at the former brewery site have also played host to a number of national and international tour operators and continue to support the local economy and promotion of Kilkenny as an international destination.
