On your bike! Tickets on sale now for the Tour de Kilkenny!

The Marble City Cyclers are getting back on their bikes and gearing up for the 2024 offering of the Tour de Kilkenny.

The charity event, now in its 14th year, will bring cyclists from all over the country to Kilkenny on Saturday, August 3.

With distances to cater for cyclists of all abilities - the Tour has 77km, 110km and 160km routes - there is something there to challenge all-comers!

Good causes will be the winners again this year, with proceeds from the event going to five local charities.

This event is strictly online registration only. The ticket price for registrations is €40 per entry. Once registered online, sign-on will be held on Friday, August 2 between 6 and 8pm and on Saturday morning from 8am in Kilkenny Rugby Club, Foulkstown, Waterford Road, (eircode R95 CH68). All entrants must sign on to collect wristbands for access to food stations and for contactability and safety reasons.

The 110 and 160km routes will start at 9am, with the 77km starting at 10am. Participants should note that this year there will be time restrictions at Mullinavat on the 160km route. The time to be allotted will be generous but in the interest of safety, marshals will have cut off times at that junction. Cyclists who do not reach this point in the allotted time will be offered an alternative shorter route back to the rugby club by following the route of the 110km challenge.
