Dicksboro supporter, Hilary Cantwell from The Castle Road, Kilkenny was the overall winner of the Specsavers Look for Longer competition - claiming €5,000 for her club Dicksboro.
Chairman of Dicksboro GAA Club, Eddie Holohan said the club was grateful to Hilary for nominating the club and to Specsavers.
Michelle Carew of Specsavers Kilkenny said that as a local community optician and hearing centre, supporting local clubs and charities was a key part of our culture.
“We are delighted to make this donation to Dicksboro GAA Club and we commend them on the fantastic work they do to ensure that the club fulfills its potential and remains at the heart of the community,” she said.
Hilary's husband, Cathnia is a member of James Stephens GAA Club while Hilary is a member of Dicksboro, even though she lives in The Village.
