ISPCA to cease Kilkenny dog shelter service

ISPCA will no longer operate the dog warden service from February 28

The ISPCA has given Kilkenny and Carlow County Councils notice of their intention to withdraw from operating the local dog warden service.

Six months' notice was given to the local authorities last month, meaning they will finish up the shelter service on February 28 of next year.

Kilkenny County Council has said it will  now proceed with the procurement of an alternative service provider 'at the earliest opportunity.
