The work of some of Kilkenny's most talented young entrepreneurs is proudly on display today at the Student Enterprise Programme county final, which takes place at the Newpark Hotel.
Over 125 enterprising students from secondary schools across the county are displaying their products and services at the event, which is co-ordinated by Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny. The competition provides second level students at all levels from first year through to sixth year with the chance to set up and run their own business. It begins in September, and hours of work and dedication are involved.
Today's event opened to the public from 1pm, with the presentation ceremony taking place at 2pm. See next week's Kilkenny People for full details of the event and the winners that will go forward to represent Kilkenny at the national finals in Croke Park on May 4.
