Grennan College hosted a fashion show at The Long Man of Kilfane last Thursday night, The show was organised by the Parents Council in aid of the school.

The models were students, teachers and parents who all showcased clothing from local businesses and shops such as The Hangar, Pamela Scott, Evolution, Tony Roche Menswear, Grennan Mill Clothing, Design Edit, Porters Saddlery and Grahams Shoes.

Bernie Wymss , chairperson of the student council, said that she was very happy with how the event went.

“We had a large crowd of over 200 people. It was great community event and thanks to everyone who was involved.

“The students had a great time helping MC the night and supporting fellow students, teachers and parents who were modeling,” she said.

"The students were nervous at first, but soon found their confidence and for their grand finale they all enjoyed their final strut.

“We are very happy with money raised from ticket and raffle sales. The Parents Council will work in cooperation with the school to see which department is in most need.

“A special word of thanks to all the local businesses who supported us and of course to all those at The Long Man.
