Royal Visit: Hurling skills to be showcased to Prince Charles and Camilla at Kilkenny Castle

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will watch a hurling demonstration at Kilkenny Castle tomorrow

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will witness the majestic beauty involved in the game of hurling this Thursday during a special sporting demonstration in the grounds of Kilkenny Castle.

The Royal couple will also speak to some of the traders at the weekly farmers market on The Parade before visiting the twice Oscar-nominated animation studio Cartoon Saloon.

 In the early afternoon they are expected to make a whistlestop visit to the Grennan Craft School in Thomastown before moving on to the Curragh in Kildare and the National Stud.

Tight security surrounds the official Royal Visit which is being made at the request of the British Government and 'to celebrate all that we do together to cement peace and secure a prosperous future'. The couple arrived in Northern Ireland earlier today.
