The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall have just arrived in Kilkenny City.
A convoy of huge helicopters heralded their arrival, touching down in the Castle Park at 10.35am - exactly on schedule. A large crowd of onlookers has gathered near the castle.
Inside, around 150 people are waiting in the Long Gallery of Kilkenny Castle this morning, preparing to greet the royal couple.
They are from Kilkenny and further afield - from the world of sport, politics, business, clergy and local interests. Freeman of the City Pat Shortis is among the group, as is Kilkenny senior hurling captain Mark Bergin, and Rose of Kilkenny Tara Roche.
Outside, Brian Cody and Henry Shefflin and a group of kids are warming up for a hurling demonstration for the Prince.
