A huge clap and a cheer greeted the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall as they arrived in Kilkenny this morning.
They shook hands with people, exchanged greetings and stopped to kiss babies as they walked the Parade. Having navigated the initial media scrum, the royal couple are now meeting traders at the Farmers Market.
They will now enter the castle grounds to view sport and musical activities, and sample some delights from the 'Taste Kilkenny' stand. Following that, the royal pair will be greeted by Minister of State Sean Canney and Mayor of Kilkenny Patrick O' Neill.
