Drakelands, Kikenny celebrates 20 years of caring

Drakelands Nursing home on the outskirts of Kilkenny city celebrated 20 years of caring in the community last week.
It was a joyous occasion and marked a significant milestone. Officially opened as a nursing home on November 3, 1997 the house and home have been developing to meet the expanding needs of the local community for those 20 years.
It is now an exceptional example of appropriate architecture and an outstanding home to all who reside there.

Drakelands House will continue to expand its services to meet the growing needs of the local community,” Anne Fleck-Byrne who owns Drakelands along with her husband, Chris.
“As the management, staff, residents and relatives celebrate the past 20 years we would like to acknowledge all those who have lived in Drakelands House, long or short term and all the staff who have cared so lovingly for them in those 20 years,” Anne said.
Residents can expect their quality of life to be enhanced by the provision of a happy, comfortable, secure environment.
