A Donegal carpet from around the year 1900 made €20,000 at Mealy's Fine Arts auction

A very large and rare Donegal carpet, dating from 1900, was sold for €20,000. It measures 19ft x 14ft. It is attributed to Gavin Morton (1867-1954) AND G.K. Robinson.
An ornamental silver, centre piece for a dining table, typically used for holding fruit or flowers made €10,000. Made by James Dixon and Sons Sheffield 1906, it is in the rococo style with the top surmounted on a stem with an oval pierced basket, with scrolling foliage, C-scrolls, and tapering beads.
