A major planning application for a new nursing home on the outskirts of the city has recently been lodged with Kilkenny County Council. Mr Ken Walsh has sought permission for the three storey development.
He submitted the plans for the project with the local authority at County Hall on John Street, Kilkenny on November 10.
It will provide accommodation for 80 residents in single units on the site at the Bohernatonish Road, Loughboy, Kilkenny. Basement car parking will be provided on site.
There will be separate staff areas, ancillary services rooms and services as well as landscaping on the site and between the site and footpath together with associated site works and services with connection to the existing local authority services.
