Status Orange wind warning in place nationally
Kilkenny County Council has issued an alert following a Met Eireann Status Orange severe weather alert (wind), with the onset of Storm Georgina later tonight and into the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The alert is valid from 00:01 Wednesday (24/01/2018) until 5am Wednesday (24/01/2018). For more, see www.Met.ie.
Weather Warning: Code Level Orange. A depression now named Storm Georgina will track to the northwest of the country tonight. Southwest winds will reach mean speeds between 65 and 80 km/h, gusting up to 120 km/h for a time tonight
