Courtesy buses running to Gowran Park from 11am in Kilkenny City this morning

As well as the racing, there's live music and plenty of entertainment at the racing

Gates open at 11am at Gowran Park Racecourse today with the first race going to post at 12.50pm.

Courtesy buses will run from Kilkenny Castle Gates at 11am on the day and return one hour after the last race. The feature race, the Goffs Thyestes Chase, gets under way at 3pm.

Aside from the top-class racing, Gowran Park has a host of entertainment for everyone to enjoy before during and after racing.
There will be live bands on all floors and outside and culinary delights to suit all tastes. 

Tickets are available at www.gowranpark.ie or at Gowran Park on the day, priced at €20 for adults and €15 for OAP/Students.
Group discounts are available by contacting Gowran Park on 056-7726225.

Organisers are encouraging anyone that has never attended Thyestes Day to make 2018 their year to come to Gowran Park and be part of the excitement that the big day always brings.
