Waterford woman  finds diamond in Kilkenny city

There was great excitement in Market Cross on Sunday for the finale of their Valentine’s Giveaway – Diamond in the Rough run in conjunction with Nolan’s Jewellers. This was a week long promotion on Beat with the overall winner claiming an 18 carat white gold 5 stone diamond dress ring.

 Six finalists from across the south east along with family friends and well wishers descended on Market Cross to see who would walk away with the diamond ring worth €2,000.

 With excitement and tension the finalists had to dig in boxes of sand to locate the diamonds. The first to locate five diamond was the winner. The person with the fastest hands on the day was Corina Power. Yelps of excitement echoed around the centre when Corina found the fifth diamond and was confirmed the winner.

 The drive back down the M9 to Waterford was all the more enjoyable for Corina and her family. John Chatten, Centre Manager at Market Cross offered his “congrats to Corina on her big win and thanks to Nolan’s for working with us on this exciting promotion. Big thanks also to the other finalists who each received a €50 voucher for stores in Market Cross.”
