Kilkenny businessman and media presenter, Bobby Kerr (pictured right), has been selected as this year’s Grand Marshal for the St Patrick’s Day parade.

Mr Kerr is the former chairman of the Insomnia Café group and grew up in Kilkenny City where his father, Bobby Snr, ran the four-star Newpark Hotel.
A keen sportsman, Bobby starred on the rugby pitch for Bective Rangers. He then followed his father into the catering business.
Bobby’s media career began with his appointment as one of the original ‘dragons’ on the RTÉ Dragon’s Den series before taking over as the presenter of the main business programme on Newstalk FM in 2010. He now presents Bobby’s Late Breakfast on Sunday mornings on the station.
