Models who are taking part in the upcoming fashion show
Past members of Warrington Pony Club will strut their stuff on the catwalk to help raise funds for their old club and for the “Make a Wish” Charity Foundation.
The fashion show will be held in Langton’s on Thursday, March 8 just in time to showcase the latest fashion trends for the busy racing season ahead and inspiration for the Cheltenham races. The theme is “Made in Chelsea” meets “Only Fools and Horses” so expect high jinks on the night!
Irish showjumpers modelling on the night will include Eddie Maloney, Paddy O’Donnell, Vincent Byrne and a host of other equestrian professionals.
Local sports legends also modelling will include rugby’s Mick Galwey, Snooker and Irish Pool Champion Danielle Randall, former All-Ireland Camogie Captain Tracy Millea, and James Fennelly four times Ireland’s Strongest Man.
County hurlers from past and present are also taking part with Michael Fennelly, Cillian Buckley and Eoin Murphy taking to the catwalk. The organisers have even roped in Master Yoga Instructor Imelda Norris and professional dancers Rachael Ellard and Ger Hayes to model.
The winner of Top Model Ireland 2017 Krister Timusk will also show the amateur models how it’s done on the night.
Some of the proceeds made on the evening will go to “Make a Wish Foundation” and to top it off AXA Insurance has promised to double the donation.
MC will be the glamourous Siobhan Donohoe. With her two kids in the Pony Club she had no escaping with “mucking in” for the show!
Donohoe says: “I’ve seen the range of clothes for the fashion show and they are suitable for all shapes and sizes. The items are not just for the race goer but perfect for any day out and the casual pieces are to die for.
“I’m a keen supporter of Kilkenny retailers. I believe we should support local and do our bit to restore Kilkenny’s vibrant economy.
“Our retailers depend on us and they are all super to come out and support the Club with their new collections on March 8.”
The retailers on show on the night will be – The Design Centre, Pauls Department Store, Lady Lorna, Peaches, 38co, Warrington Equestrian Shop, The Wardrobe, Richard Duggans, Frank Walls, Villa and Hats by Turning Head Hat Hire and Michelle Treacy Millinery.
Treasurer Michelle McCormack says: “it’s great to see so many past members and professional sports people coming out to support our little club. We rely on the help of parents and when you see the smiles on the kids faces its all worth it.
“We would like to give special thanks to Langtons Hotel, Airmax Inflatables, the retailers, models, make-up artists and in particular the Moloney family.”
There will also be prizes for Best Dressed Lady & Gent on the night. Ger Hayes from “Lord of the Dance” plans to dazzle the audience at the interval and there will be plenty of raffle prizes and a DJ until late.
So please come along and support them as tickets are only €10 and are available from Warrington Equestrian Centre on 056-7722682.
