Kilkenny schools closed today because of snow as Beast From The East arrives

#BeastFromTheEast has arrived

Many primary and secondary schools across the city and county are closed today.

Also most school buses will not operate  this morning because of safety concnerns.

And with no thaw expected, conditions will deteriorate as the day goes on with extreme caution needed on the roads.

The following is a list of schools which will remained closed:

Grennan college, Secondary School, Thomastown

Castlecomer Community school secondary school

St Patricks Special School, Kells road, Kilkenny city

Model School, NS, Castlecomer Road, Kilkenny city

Gaelscoil Osrai NS, Kilkenny city
