Kilkenny County Council road crews working to make all roads passable

Road crews from Kilkenny County Council are working in the north and south of the county where serious accumulations of snow have occurred. Three heavy  machines have been deployed to the Castlewarren/Brown Mountain area which is impassable.

The public are advised to check the council website at www.kilkennycoco.ie for a list of roads which are now passable.

Conditions remain difficult and care is advised for motorists and pedestrians in all areas.

Director of services, Mr Tim Butler has asked people to conserve water as breaks may occur during the coming days.
