Kilkenny musician Damien O'Brien died following an assault in the city.
Hundreds of people are expected to attend the funeral of a well-respected musician who died following a violent assault earlier this month.
Tributes have been paid to the keyboard player and vocalist who performed with a number of bands including Chimpanbee, No Hot Ashes and Fuse.
Gardaí have launched a murder investigation into the cause of his death and are appealing to the public for assistance.

The 27-year-old will be lying in repose at his home at Fahee, Kilmacow on Thursday (July 19) from 4pm until 7pm. His funeral Mass will take place on Friday (July 20) at noon in St. Mary's Church, Ballygunner. His burial will take place in the adjoining cemetery following his Mass.
