Deaths in Kilkenny, July 20, 2018

The late Esther Kelly

The death has occurred of Esther Kelly (née Curran) Abbey Park, Ferrybank, Waterford / Slieverue, Kilkenny.

Mrs Esther Kelly (nee Curran), Abbey Grove, Abbey Park, Ferrybank, Waterford and formerly of Airmount, Slieverue, Kilkenny. Removal from Thompsons Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Waterford on Sunday, July 22 at 10.15 am to the Chuch of the Asssumption, Slieverue, Co. Kilkenny for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The late David Prim

The death has occurred of David Prim, 1 Mill Court, DeLoughrey Place, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny.

David Prim (1, Mill Court, DeLoughrey Place, Kilkenny). July 19, 2018 (peacefully) at his home. Beloved partner of Malva (McCabe) and father of Naoimh and Adrian. He will be sadly missed by his partner, daughter, son, brother Alan, sister Libby, son-in-law Seán, grandchildren Vida, Elliot, Sam and Billy, Naoimh's mother Aran, Malva's daughter Lana, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home on Friday (July 20th) from 4pm to 7pm. Private cremation will take place later.

The late Tom Byrne

The death has occurred of Tom Byrne, Barna, via Thurles, Freshford, Kilkenny. Peacefully at home. Beloved husband of Lucy. Dearly loved father of Deirdre, Pamela and Lucy and his beloved cat Vivienne. Dearly loved brother of Kathleen. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, sons-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing in Kennedy's Funeral on this Thursday evening from 5.30 o'clock with Rosary at 8 o'clock followed by removal to St. Lachtain's Church. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11 o'clock followed by burial in St. Lachtain's Cemetery.


The late Kathleen Malone (nee Holden)

The death has occurred of Kathleen Malone (née Holden) Desart, Cuffesgrange, Kilkenny. Peacefully, on Wednesday, 18th July, in the loving care of Sarah and staff at Strathmore Lodge Nursing Home, Callan, Co. Kilkenny. Predeceased by her husband Jim and daughter Elizabeth. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing family, Tom, Ann, Maureen, Helen, Julie and Patricia, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers Billy, Larry and Patrick (Lloyd), sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan on Thursday from 7pm with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 9pm. Funeral prayers in Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan on Friday morning at 10.15am followed by removal to The Church of the Holy Cross, Cuffesgrange for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.


The late Damien O' Brien

The death has occurred of Damien O' Brien of Fahee, Kilmacow, KilkennyFormer band member of Chimpanbee, No Hot Ashes & Fuse bands. Will be sadly missed by his mother Kathleen, brothers Derek & Christopher, sisters Sandra & Claire, brothers-in-law Aiden & James, sister-in-law Maria, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, relatives & his wide circle of friends.

Reposing at his residence on Thursday (July 19th) from 4pm until 7pm. Requiem Mass on Friday (July 20th) at 12.00oc in St Mary's Church, Ballygunner, Waterford followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
