The bustling Kilkenny Farmers Market on the Parade
Online voting is now under way in the Ireland’s top ten Foodie Destinations competition, and Kilkenny needs your vote.
While a distinguished panel of judges will visit the county over the coming months, online public voting will also play an important role - and it's open to people to get involved. Kilkenny Tourism is urging the public to get behind the campaign and participate in the online vote, which runs until August 20.

Kilkenny is known nationwide for its vibrant food and hospitality offering, from food festivals, to the farmers’ market and countywide food trails, cookery schools and many fine eateries which regularly receive national acclaim. Kilkenny Tourism will showcase the county’s vast array of local food producers, brewers and distillers along with the regular programme of food-themed events.
The application process was a collaborative and hands on approach by Taste Kilkenny, Kilkenny Tourism, Kilkenny Local Enterprise Office with the support of Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce along with the restaurants, cookery schools and festival committees of the county.
The overall winner of Foodie Destinations 2018 will be announced at a special event in August. READ MORE HERE.
