A number of cars were damaged in recent days at locations around the city and gardaí are warning people to be vigiliant, take their valuables with them and lock their vehicles.
On Saturday morning numberplates were stolen from a Volkswagon Caddy van, which was parked in a hotel carpark in the outskirts of the city.
On Sunday a car was entered between 9pm and 9.45pm in the Circular Road area of the city and a wallet was stolen and a quantity of cash taken.
