Kilkenny's Aris Choir entertaining the crowds as they arrive at Phoenix Park
A video of Kilkenny's renowned Arís choir entertaining the crowds arriving ahead of the Papal Mass in the Phoenix Park yesterday is doing the rounds on social media.
The choir, led by choral director Veronica McCarron, give an wonderfully-choreographed rendition of 'Oh Happy Day'. The video has over 10,000 views already.
Ms McCarron spoke to the Kilkenny People previously about the group's delight and honour to perform at the World Meeting of Families events. Plans are afoot to officially launch the Aris' new album, ‘Arís: This is Us’ in September.
Meanwhile, choir teacher at Presentation Secondary School Kilkenny Ms O' Connor was also involved at the World Meeting of Families event. She was part of the Core Choir at the Papal Mass in the Phoenix Park.
