Parish priest of Dunnamaggin and former headmaster of St Kieran's College, Kilkenny, Fr Nicholas Flavin
The funeral arrangements for the late Fr Nicholas Flavin, Dunnamaggin and formerly of Kilmacow who died suddenly last week while on holiday in Spain, have been announced.
His remains will repose at St Leonard’s Church, Dunnamaggin on Friday from 3.30pm with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at noon followed by burial in the adjoining church grounds. House private please. Donations if desired to St. Joseph’s Home, Kilmoganny. Donation boxes situated at rear of Church.
Fr Nicholas passed away suddenly on Monday, September 24 in Spain.
He was predeceased by his parents Maurice and Kitty, his brother Thomas Francis who died in infancy and his brother-in-law Dick Dunphy.
He is survived by his sister Bea; brother Jim; nieces, nephews, sister-in-law Jana, relatives, neighbours, friends, parishioners, Bishop Dermot Farrell, retired Bishops Laurence Forristal and Seamus Freeman, priests and religious of the Diocese of Ossory.
