Kilkenny school Colaiste Pobail Osraí is holding a fundraiser tomorrow (17th October) from 7.30pm in The Club House Hotel. The event - VEGFEAST - GLASRAÍ GLOITE - is in partnership with the fabulous Helen Costelloe of The Cutting Vedge in conversation with Liselott Olofsson.
The rationale behind the event is that many students (and adults) are now choosing a plant based diet. The demonstration is an opportunity to learn new recipes and ask questions to Helen and Liselott (co-host) about nutrients (essential vitamins, minerals, proteins, carbohydrates, etc) for a balanced diet. Helen will be cooking 3 dishes and these can become lunchbox ideas.
Tickets for the night are available at www.eventbrite.ie for €20 and include; admission, raffle, goodie bag, delicious nibbles, and 15 minute presentation from HOLOS skincare expert. To honour the bi-lingual aspect of our School Community - there will also be a cúpla focail ás Gaelige.
The proceeds of the night will in turn go towards supporting our school community by inviting in a speaker, at a later date, on the topic of Young Persons and Positive Mental Health.
The beautiful artwork for the event is by Coláiste Pobail Osraí students Roisin Thao Diolún, who won a Savour Kilkenny Competition for her submission late year.
