Renowned Kilkenny artist, Paul Mosse who won the Savills Prize last night

A Kilkenny man has won the most significant award in Irish contemporary art, The Savills Prize. Paul Mosse from Bennettsbridge won the trophy and €5,000  in The Savills Prize at Vue 2018, Ireland’s national contemporary art fair.

He received the the award for producing an outstanding body of work in the last year and for making a huge substantial contribution to the visual arts in Ireland.

Paul Mosse’s work has questioned the cyclical nature of decay and renewal for over 50 years and, indeed, time itself is one of the artist's favourite elements.
