A further 18 new local authority housing units have been completed at Togher Way, Urlingford.
This brings the total housing units in the past year to 34 with plans for a further 10 to be delivered by the second quarter of 2019, Cllr Mick McCarthy revealed.
“The houses which have been constructed by the McStan Group are completed to the highest standard and will help alleviate the numbers on the social housing list,” he said.
“This is the third phase of housing handed over by McStan in the last 15 months, further enhancing what was a derelict site,” Cllr McCarthy said.
He thanked the officials at Kilkenny county council and said Togher Way was a prime example of what could be achieved through public-private partnership.
Cllr McCarthy said its hoped to have the houses allocated and occupied before year’s end.
