Kilkenny tenor, Dr Ronan Tynan from Johnstown who sang at George HW Bush's funeral today in Washington

Kilkenny tenor Ronan Tynan sang today at the funeral service for former US president, George HW Bush in Washington.

The trained medical doctor from outside the village of Johnstown performed The Lord's Prayer and Last Full Measure of Devotion to spontaneous applause.

It was revealed that on Friday, just hours before President Bush passed away, Ronan visited his home in Texas and sang Silent Night and a second Irish sing to him.
