Here's where you can dispose of your Christmas tree in Kilkenny responsibly

Drop-off locations around the county - five days left to drop tree off free of charge

The Christmas tree recycling service is for householders only

A number of locations around the county have been designated 'Christmas tree drop-off zones', where you can dispose of your tree responsibly for the rest of this week.

The recycling service is for householders only, and, if availed of before January 14, is free of charge. Trees dropped off after January 14 will not be recycled and will be subject to a charge.

Here are the locations:

Kilkenny City/West: Dunmore Waste Disposal and Recycling facility (during normal opening hours).

Kilkenny City/East: Fairgreen Carpark, Graignmanagh; adjacent to bottle banks in Bennettsbridge; and Quay Park, Thomastown.

Piltown Municipal District: Piltown pound carpark, Piltown; and Granny Recycling Centre, Grannagh (during normal opening hours).

Castlecomer Municipal District: Entrance to Assumption Place, Urlingford; The Square, Freshford; Fairgreen, Ballyragget; and Castlecomer Council Yard, Donaguile.
