Patrons enjoying the chat and fare at Billy's Tearooms in Ballyhale
A TV crew will be in South Kilkenny tomorrow to film a special programme on the success of the community venture - Billy's Shop and Tearooms.
RTE's Nationwide are travelling to the village to experience at first hand the success of the non-profit venture.
Cllr David Kennedy said that the initiative has been a lifeline for the village of Ballyhale.
"The shop and tearooms have literally injected new life back into Ballyhale. Now there is a place for people to go and gather and spend time with each other.
"It is a fantastic service for people living in Ballyhale," he added.
