Bomb disposal experts are on their way to Kilkenny following a report of a suspicious package in the city centre this morning.
The package was reported to gardaí at approximately 6am.
High Street and Kieran Street are cordoned off to the public at present.
Gardaí are advising the public to stay away until further notice.
