A Status Yellow wind warning has been issued by Met Éireann for the entire country, including Kilkenny.
The warning is valid from 7am on Tuesday to 4pm in the afternoon.
Strong and gusty southwest winds will veer westerly early this afternoon with some severe and damaging gusts; heavy squally spells of rain continuing too.
