The Civil Defence Unit in Kilkenny is to get a new four-wheel drive vehicle to respond to emergencies and severe weather events.

Fine Gael’s John Paul Phelan confirmed the news this morning. Minister with responsibility for Defence, Paul Kehoe, has allocated 32 new Ford Ranger crewcabs as part of the Government’s ongoing investment in Civil Defence.
