A man has been sent forward for trial to face 16 counts of indecent assault, at Kilkenny District Court.
The man can not be named by order of the judge.
A book of evidence was presented to the elderly man at a sitting of the district court. It contains 16 charges.
Three charges, in relation to a male, date between September 1, 1977, and June 30, 1978.
Three charges, relating to a second male, date between August 24, 1976, and June 30, 1977.
Ten charges, relating to a third male, date between August 27, 1974, and June 30, 1975.
State solicitor Ger Meaney said the Director of Public Prosecutions consented to the case going forward to Kilkenny Circuit Court’s present sittings for hearing. The judge made the order to do this.
