An example of a cycle lane bollard
The cycle lane bollards on the Granges Road are earmarked to be replaced with a designated cycle lane in the future.
The proposal forms part of the 'Safe Route to Schools' section of the Active Travel Plan.
The aim of this plan is to improve overall connectivity and maximise mobility in Kilkenny and ultimately reduce congestion.
Improving pavements, public lighting and boundaries is also central to the strategy.
