Green light to convert old filling station in Kilkenny into injury clinic

The old filling station at Kilcreene, once home to Mullally's Shop, to receive a new lease of life

Kilkenny County Council have given the green light to plans seeking to convert a disused filling station on the outskirts of the city into an injury clinic.

Original plans submitted to the local authority sought single-storey extensions to both sides of the remaining building comprising of proposed clinical spaces, gym spaces, staff areas and ancillary accommodation.

Internal and elevational modifications were also planned as part of the development of the site.

Kilkenny County Council granted planning permission, subject to eighteen conditions, on April 2, 2023.
