The junction from Glendine Heights onto the Ballyfoyle Road

A traffic safety review will take place at the junction from the Glendine Heights estate onto the Ballyfoyle following concerns from local residents.

The matter was raised in a motion of notion put forward by Cllr John Coonan at Friday's meeting of the Kilkenny City Municipal District.

"Having received several requests from local residents about safety concerns I put forward a notice of motion for Kilkenny Municipal District to undertake an analysis of what measures can be put in place to ensure greater safety for road users.

"It was unanimously supported and endorsed. I am pleased that I have got unanimous support from the council to undertake a traffic safety review specifically at the exit from Glendine Heights onto the Ballyfoyle Road. The priority and timing of these works will be decided by the local authority," he said.
