A popular Kilkenny and James Stephens man affectionately known as 'Sla' was stopped by members of An Garda Síochana on High Street in Kilkenny City in recent days.
A social media post by Kilkenny Gardaí praised the local man and Kilkenny County Council for using an environmentally machine to clean the city's streets.

"One of our lads came across this vehicle and its custodian on High Street earlier," the post read.
"This impressive machine is battery powered so cleans the Marble City noiselessly. You could say the council is 'cleaning up'!," the post concluded.
