Kilkenny gardaí have received 'many complaints' over the past number of weeks due to the illegal overtaking of cars on the hatch markings on the Ring Road approaching the Bennettsbridge Roundabout in Kilkenny.
"We have had many complaints in recent times where law abiding motorists have been overtaking on the hatch markings approaching the Bennettsbridge Roundabout," a post to the An Garda Síochana Facebook page read.

"Similarly some motorists are using the turning right lane and then cutting in to go straight ahead. A breach of Section 51A of the Road Traffic Act, 80 Euro fine and two Penalty Points," the post added.
